WSFD Youth Fire Academy 23-1 Timeline:

Transportation will be provided for any off-site excursions.

Sign up on from 4/28/23 to 5/7/23.

30 cadets will be accepted, (Due to high demand, we will only be accepting first time cadets) and additional applicants will be placed on a waitlist. Sign-up is complete when WSFD receives your completed information and waiver.

Our goal of the West Sacramento Fire Department Youth Fire Academy is to host a fire camp that educates a diverse group of local high school youth about the fire service as a career in a fun, safe, supportive team environment.
We are looking for motivated individuals that work well with others, who have an interest in learning what it takes to become a firefighter, and those who want to get hands-on experience with various firefighter skills.
Lunch and uniforms will be provided. There is no cost to attend, and the academy is open to high schools students (Grades 10-12 including graduating senior).
